Women's volleyball notches first win
FARMINGTON -- The University of Maine at Farmington women's volleyball team collected its first victory of the season with a 3-0 win (30-9, 30-12, 30-17)over Unity College today.
Meagan Dube (Lewiston, ME) led the Beavers (1-5) with 12 kills, while Danielle O'Brien (Calais, ME) and Emily Beebe (Bristol, RI) each recorded six kills. O'Brien also dished out seven serving aces and six digs. Katie Allen (Bucksport, ME) assisted on 18 kills.
The Beavers are scheduled to visit Maine Maritime Academy on Saturday. UMF is tabbed to face Thomas at 12:30 p.m. and Maine Maritime at 2 p.m.
