Women's volleyball downed at UNE

BIDDEFORD  -- The University of New England won the first game by the score of 30-1, and went on to an easy 3-0 victory over the University of Maine Farmington Beavers in a non-conference women's volleyball match Saturday morning at the Campus Center.

UMF (9-11) is scheduled to visit Becker College for a North Atlantic Conference tri-match at noon. The Nor'Easters won 30-15 and 30-8 in the next two games to improve to 9-10.

Amy Boardman (York, ME) led the Beavers (9-11) with a match-high 12 digs. Meagan Dube (Lewiston, ME) led UMF's attack with four kills.

The Beavers are scheduled to visit Becker College in North Atlantic Conference action this coming Saturday against Becker and Elms.
