Women's volleyball slips at St. Joseph's

STANDISH -- The University of Maine at Farmington women's volleyball team was defeated 3-1 by St. Joseph's in non-conference action at Standish. Game scores went 30-21, 19-30, 30-26, 30-22.

The Beavers (4-8) are scheduled to host Husson and Bay Path in North Atlantic Conference action at Dearborn Gymnasium. The schedule is slated for UMF vs. Bay Path (10 a.m.), Husson vs. Bay Path (Noon) and UMF vs. Husson (2 p.m.)

Against the Monks (3-11), Danielle O'Brien (Calais, ME) notched 12 kills to lead UMF with Amy Boardman (York, ME) getting into double figures in kills (10) and digs (team-leading 12) and Meagan Dube (Lewiston, ME) adding 10 kills. Caitlin Flaherty (Pembroke, MA) and Katie Allen (Bucksport, ME) handled setting duties with 15 assists for Flaherty and 11 assists for Allen.
