Women's volleyball in NAC split

CASTLETON, Vt. -- The University of Maine at Farmington women's volleyball split a pair of North Atlantic Conference matches at Castleton. The Beavers defeated Castleton 3-1 (21-30, 30-25, 30-25, 30-19), but fell to Lesley 3-0 (30-20, 30-25, 30-12).

The Beavers (4-7, 3-2) are scheduled to visit St. Joseph's Wednesday in non-conference action.

Meagan Dube (Lewiston, Maine) spirited the Beavers' win over Castleton with 17 kills and seven service aces, while Danielle O'Brien (Calais, Maine) made seven kills with nine digs, Amy Boardman (York, Maine) recorded 14 digs and Jessica Whittaker (Calais, Maine) added 11 digs.

Against Lesley, Dube and O'Brien made eight and seven kills, respectively, while Boardman led the team with nine digs.
