All Conference Teams Announced, 23 UMF Student-Athletes Honored
UMF has placed 23 student-athletes on the North Atlantic Conference
All Conference Team rosters. They are as follows:
Volleyball
Jesse Andreozzi - 1st Team, Player of the Year
Melissa Blodgett - Honorable Mention
Jenna St. Pierre - Honorable Mention
Volleyball Loses NAC Semifinal to Mount Ida
The UMF volleyball team's season came to a close this morning when
they were defeated by Mount Ida College (20-30, 25-30, 25-30) in the
North Atlantic Conference semifinal match at Lasell College. UMF
closes the season with a 14 and 12 overall record and it's second
consecutive NAC final four appearance.

Volleyball To Play Mount Ida on Saturday
The UMF volleyball team will travel to Lasell College on Saturday for
the North Atlantic Conference Final Four. The Beavers will play
#2 seed Mount Ida College at 10am in the semifinal match. The
championship game will be played at 2pm.

Volleyball Defeats Elms, Advances to NAC Final
Four
The UMF volleyball team defeated visiting Elms College 3-0 to night to
advance to the North Atlantic Conference final four tournament.
UMF held solid leads throughout the match taking three straight games
(30-20, 30-26, 30-21). UMF will play in the final four on
Saturday at a site to be determined by other playoff games tonight.
Time and location will be announced tomorrow.

Volleyball To Host Elms in NAC Quarterfinal
The UMF volleyball team will host Elms College at 6pm on Wednesday
night for the quarterfinal round of the North Atlantic Conference
tournament.

Volleyball Drops Two Games at Thomas
The UMF volleyball team suffered it's two conference losses yesterday
at Thomas College. UMF dropped games to Mount Ida (1-3) and
Lasell (1-3) and slipped to third place in the conference standings.
The Beavers played tough throughout both matches, but were unable to
put together back to back performances. UMF awaits the final
conference standings to see who they will host in the first round of
the tournament on Wednesday at 7pm.

Volleyball Loses to St. Joseph's 1-3
The UMF volleyball team lost a non-conference match to host St.
Joseph's College in Standish last night. The Beavers, led by
senior middle hitter Jesse Andreozzi, fell behind 0-2, then came back
to win the third game 30-11, but were unable to hold on in game four
eventually losing 16-30. Andreozzi led the offense with 13
kills, while Jenna St. Pierre handed out 20 assists in the effort.
UMF will close out regular season play this weekend when they travel
to Thomas College to play Mount Ida and Laell. The Beavers will
await the final standings and parings for the playoffs early next
week.

Volleyball Drops Match to Southern Maine
The UMF volleyball team suffered a 1-3 non-conference loss last night
versus the University of Southern Maine in Gorham. UMF was led
by senior Jesse Andreozzi who had a team high 10 kills and three
service aces. UMF lost the first game of the match 13-30,
battled back in game two to take the game 30-28, but were unable to
sustain the momentum in games three and four finally losing 18-30 and
16-30. UMF now stands at 11-8 overall and 5-0 in the NAC.
The Beavers return to action on Saturday when they host Maine Maritime
and Husson College for important conference matches at 11am and 1pm
respectively.

Volleyball Goes 2-1 at Home Invitational
The UMF volleyball team recorded wins over Southern Maine and Maine-Machias
and lost to Maine-Presque Isle in this weekend's UMF Invitational.
The Beavers started the tournament off strong defeating Southern Maine
on Friday night and came out on fire Saturday morning defeating
Machias 3-1. The Beaver lost steam in the third game of the
tournament versus Presque Isle and lost 0-3. Worcester State
went on to win the tournament, going undefeated with victories over
Salem State, Husson College, St. Joseph's College and Machias in the
championship game. UMF will return to action on Thursday when
they travel to Gorham for another matchup with Southern Maine at 7pm.

Volleyball Defeats Southern Maine 3-1
In the first match of the UMF Invitational volleyball tournament the
Beavers defeated Southern Maine 3-1 to place themselves in good
position to vie for the tournament championship tomorrow. UMF
came out determined early and won the first game 30-21, but had a
lapse in the second game letting it slip away 27-30. The Beavers
regrouped in game three to rebound with a 30-26 victory and closed out
the match with a 30-20 win in game four. Senior Jessie Andreozzi
led the offense with 14 kills. Jenna St. Peirre handed out 31
assists on the day. Saturday's schedule is as follows:

11am St. Joe's vs Samel St.
USM vs. UMPI
1pm UMF vs UMPI

Volleyball Goes 1-2 in Salem State Tournament
The UMF volleyball team battled Mount Holyoke, UMass Boston and
Simmons College this past weekend at Salem State, defeating Simmons
3-1 and losing to Mount Holyoke 0-3 and UMass Boston 1-3. UMF's
Jessica Andreozzi had a team high 31 kills in the tournament and was
selected to the All Tournament team. UMF now stands at 9-6
overall and remains 5-0 in the NAC. The Beavers return to action
on Friday when they kick off the UMF invitational at 6pm.

Volleyball Defeats St. Joseph's College 3-1
The UMF volleyball team defeated visiting St. Joseph's College 3-1 in
dramatic come from behind fashion last night in Dearborn Gym.
St. Joe's took the early lead winning the first game 30-13, but the
Beavers rebounded to take the next three games 30-28, 30-10 and 30-25.
UMF middle hitter, Jesse Andreozzi snapped down the match winning
kill, one of here 15 kills on the night. Jenna St. Pierre handed
out 40 assists. UMF dominated serve slipping 20 aces past the
Monks, five each from Andreozzi and Megan Dube. UMF improves to
8-4 overall and remains 5-0 in the NAC. Next up UMF will travel
to Salem State on Friday for a two day tournament.

Volleyball Gets Two Wins at Becker
The UMF volleyball tea led by sophomore Jenna St. Pierre notched two
more wins this weekend when they defeated Becker College 3-0 and Elms
College (in a forfeit). St. Pierre handed out 34 assists in the
Beavers win over Becker. Jesse Andreozzi notched 14 kills in the
three game match. UMF now stands at 5-0 in the NAC and will
return to action on Wednesday night when they host St. Joseph's
College at 7pm.

Volleyball Defeats Unity 3-0
The UMF volleyball team defeated Unity College 30-16, 30-10 and 30-13
to take the 3-0 win last night. UMF was paced by freshman Megan
Dube who tallied 7 kills on 14 attempts. Jenna St. Peirre ran
the offense handing out 16 assists in the match. UMF improves to
5-4 overall and will return to action this weekend when they travel to
Becker College for conference matches with Becker and Elms College.

Volleyball Defeats Bay Path and Lesley
The UMF volleyball team defeated Bay Path College 30-18, 30-11, 30-9
and Lesley University 30-28, 30-16, 30-11 to improve to 2-1 in NAC
play this weekend in Massachusetts. The Beavers will return to
action on Tuesday when they travel to Unity College for a 7pm match.

Volleyball Cruises Past Thomas 3-0
The UMF volleyball team blanked visiting Thomas College 3-0 last night
in their first conference match of the season. Using every
player on the roster, the Beavers out paced the Terriers 30-12, 30-14,
30-17. Sophomore Jenna St. Pierre handed out 20 assists on the
night while freshman Megan Dube recorded a team high 9 kills.
UMF improves to 2-4 overall and is 1-0 in conference play. Next
up UMF will travel to Lesley University to play Lesley and Bay Path
for two more conference matches on Saturday.

Volleyball Loses to Husson 0-3
The UMF volleyball team lost three close games to visiting Husson
College tonight at Dearborn Gymnasium in Farmington. The Beavers
battled to 24-30, 23-30 and 28-30 losses. In games two and
three, the score seesawed back and forth, but errors and errant
passing by the Beavers gave Husson the victory. UMF returns to
action on Saturday when they host Unity College at 11am.
