Men's soccer shut out in regular-season finale

BANGOR -- The University of Maine at Farmington men's soccer team ended its regular season with a 6-0 North Atlantic Conference loss to Husson University this afternoon.
The Beavers (8-6-2 overall, 3-2-2 NAC) await the NAC playoff seedings. The men's soccer quarterfinals are scheduled for Wednesday. The Eagles ran their record to 8-8-2 (5-0-2).
John Destefano collected two goals for Husson with Alex Martin and Tyler Metevier each chipping in a goal and an assist and Edwin Acosta a pair of assists. James Crackford and Gavin Madden each added a goal for the Eagles, who held a 35-13 shot advantage.
Farmington held the hosts to a 2-0 lead at intermission before the hosts tallied four goals over the first 13:12 of the second half for the 6-0 final
Erik Corcoran (Gorham, NH) made 12 saves in 69:55 in goal for Farmington. Paul Dupre (Rehoboth, ME) followed with four saves.
Miguel Dominguez and Mason Smith shared netminding duties for Husson. The duo stopped seven shots.
