Lemont named NAC Player of the Week
FARMINGTON -- The North Atlantic Conference announced its weekly honors on Monday with several University of Maine at Farmington student-athletes collecting awards.
Junior goalkeeper Brian Lemont (Brunswick, ME) was named the NAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week. Lemont made five stops in scoreless regulation and two 10-minute overtimes and blocked two bids during the penalty kick shootout as the No. 5 Beavers advanced on PKs against No. 4 Elms in NAC quarterfinal action Sunday.
This is the second time this season that Lemont received the award. He was also honored on Sept. 17.
The Beavers (6-4-6) are scheduled to visit No. 1 Castleton State College on Wednesday in NAC semifinal action.
