First UMF Invitational for women's golf

WILTON -- The University of Maine at Farmington women's golf team hosted Bates, Bowdoin and Colby colleges in the first UMF Women's Invitational today at Wilson Lake Country Club.

Bates won the competition with a 381 followed by Bowdoin at 433. Farmington did not have a team score.

The Bobcats claimed the top three spots in the individual competition with Brigid Dunn (Milford, OH) carding an 85 to hold off teammates Whitney Roller (Haverford, PA) and Tessa Pals (Wilmette, IL).

Farmington's Tricia Camp (Walton, IN) and Merissa Beaulieu (Monmouth, ME) placed fourth and fifth, respectively. Camp fired a 99, while Beaulieu followed at 100.
