Husson University carded a team score of 310 to capture the John Queenan Memorial Golf Tournament crown for the fourth consecutive year at the Point Sebago Golf Resort on Tuesday. Four Eagles placed in the top five, including Kevin Byrne (Winslow, ME), who captured medalist honors with a one-over-par 73 effort.
The battle for second place proved to be much more interesting, as four teams finished within two strokes. Farmington carded a 340 team score to finish second, while University of New England (341), University of Southern Maine (342) and Thomas (342) were close behind.
Reid Bond (Farmington, ME) and Orion Cochrane (Greenville, ME) each turned in an 84 to lead the Beavers. Nick Waltz (Damariscotta, ME) and Justin Woodbrey (Raymond, ME) each shot an 86 to complete Farmington's scoring.
