9/13/09 Golf comes in second at Colby WATERVILLE -- The University of Maine at Farmingtom golf team placed second today at the Colby Classic at Waterville Country Club. Colby Blue took first place with a 217 followed by the Beavers (227), Thomas (232) and Colby White (237). The competition featured best ball, scramble and alternating shots. Rich Matthews (Portland, ME) and Nick Waltz (Damariscotta, ME) paced the Beavers at 72 (tied for second overall). Reid Bond (Farmington, ME) and Orion Cochrane (Greenville, ME) carded a 75 with Mike Lawson (Williamsburg TWP, ME) and Justin Woodbrey (Raymond, ME) at 80.
