Golf eighth at USM Fall Classic
The University of Maine at Farmington golf team finished in eighth place at the University of Southern Maine Fall Classic today at Sable Oaks.
The event was changed to a one-day competition due to Sunday's inclement weather.
Husson University won the event with a team score of 301. Endicott was the runner-up at 308 followed by Castleton (313), USM Blue (318), University of New England (329), St. Joseph's (338), USM Gold (339), Farmington (341) and Thomas (388).
Douglas Jennings (Hallowell, ME) carded an 80 to lead Farmington with Nick Waltz (Damariscotta, ME) close behind at 81. Richard Matthews (Portland, ME) at 89, Reid Bond (Farmington, ME) at 91 and Steve Flowers (Benton, ME) at 97 rounded out the Beavers' participants.
