Men's golf fifth at St. Joseph's
CASCO -- The University of Maine at Farmington men's golf team finished in fifth place at St. Joseph's College's John Queenan Memorial Tournament today at Point Sebago Golf Resort.
Husson University won the event with a 299 followed by Southern Maine (309), Endicott (317), University of New England (334), Farmington (334), St. Joseph's (335) and Thomas (362).
Reid Bond (Farmington, ME) and Nick Waltz (Damariscotta, ME) each carded an 82 with Steve Flowers (Benton, ME) at 84, Douglas Jennings (Hallowell, ME) at 86 and Andy Farrell (Stanton, MI) at 93.
Husson's Chris Hamel won medalist honors with a 74.
Farmington is scheduled to return to action on Sunday and Monday at the University of Southern Maine Fall Classic at Sable Oaks.
