Golf competes at State of Maine Championships
VASSALBORO -- The University of Maine at Farmington golf team competed in the two-day State of Maine Championships at Natanis Golf Course.
The Beavers placed ninth at 724. Husson University won the 11-team competition with a 625.
Reid Bond (Farmington, ME) led the Beavers with a 178 (90-88) with Douglas Jennings (Hallowell, ME) and Nick Waltz (Damariscotta, ME) just behind at 182. Jennings shot 90-92 and Waltz finished 96-86. Steve Flowers (Benton, ME) at 187 (99-88) and Andy Farrell (Stanton, MI) at 189 (94-95) also competed for Farmington.
