Women's golf debuts at Bowdoin Invitational
TOPSHAM -- The University of Maine at Farmington women's golf squad debuted in NCAA Division III competition today with a fourth-place finish at the Bowdoin Invitational at Highland Green today.
Bates College won the second annual event with a 179. Scoring was based on the top two scores from three golfers. The Bobcats were followed by Bowdoin College (195), Colby College (209) and the Beavers (221).
The Beavers were led by Patricia Camp (Walton, IN), who finished in ninth. Camp shot a 109. Merissa Beaulieu (Monmouth, ME) carded a 112 for 10th and Vicki Foster (Belgrade, ME) finished with a 119 for 11th.
Bates' Liz Wilcox and Brigid Dunn tied for top medalist honors with an 87.
