VASSALBORO —The University of Maine at
Farmington golf team placed sixth at the
Maine Intercollegiate Championships at
Natanis Golf Course on Friday and
Saturday.
Husson College won the title with a
score of 627. The Beavers finished with
a 677. Other participants included
St. Joseph's
College (645), Bowdoin College (645),
Bates College (665), University of
Southern Maine (671), Thomas College
(686), Colby College (707), University
of New England (710), University of
Maine at Presque Isle (771), and
Southern Maine Community College (789).
Brandon Poulin
(Gorham, ME)
and
DJ Jennings (Hallowell, ME)
led the
Beavers with a two-day total of 162
each. Other UMF scorers were
Anthony
Farrell (Stanton, MI) at 179,
Kyle Feltis (Bristol, ME)
at 180
and Anthony Lachance (Belgrade,
ME) at
194.
Bowdoin's Ryan Blossom won the
individual medal at the championship,
with a score of 151. |
