UMF Golf Takes Third at NAC
Championships
Kyle Feltis (Presque Isle, ME)
shot a 77-85 -- 162 to place ninth overall and lead the UMF golf team to
a third place finish at the 2006 North Atlantic Conference Golf
Championships, hosted by Maine Maritime. Feltis was one of four
Beavers to finish in the top 20, joined by DJ Jennings,
who placed 11th with a score of 166 (85-81), Andy Farrell,
who placed 14th with a 167 (83-84) and Brandon Poulin,
who shot a 169 (80-89) to place 17th. Husson won the team title
with a score of 613, followed by Elms (653) and Farmington (660).

Poulin Takes First at Colby-UMF Dual Meet
Brandon Poulin (Gorham, ME)
shot a 79 to claim
individual medalist honors at the Colby-UMF dual meet this afternoon at
the Waterville Country Club. Poulin edged Jack Peet of Colby by two
strokes for the title, while Kyle Feltis (Presque Isle, ME)
finished sixth overall and second among Farmington competitors. Colby
captured the meet, 23-11, based on the Stableford scoring system.

Poulin
Finishes Third to Pace UMF at USM Classic
Brandon Poulin (Gorham, ME)
shot a 75-76 – 151 to finish third and lead the UMF golf team to a
fifth-place finish at the Southern Maine Classic, hosted by USM.
Kyle Feltis (Presque Isle, ME) improved two strokes over his
Saturday performance to finish with an 82-80 – 162 to finish in the top
20.

UMF Takes Fourth at UMF Golf Invite;
Places Fifth at Maine States
On
a picture-perfect day at Belgrade Lakes Golf Course, Brandon Poulin shot
a 78 to lead the UMF golf team to a fourth-place finish in the
eight-team, UMF Invitational. The Beavers also received an 85 from Kyle
Feltis and a 91 from D.J. Jennings to round out their top three
scorers. Husson’s Lance Libby took individual medalist honors with a 72
to lead the Braves to a first-place finish. Southern Maine (323), St.
Joe’s (327), UMF (339) and Thomas (342) rounded out the top five.
At
the Maine State Intercollegiate Championships, Poulin shot a 78-82—160
to lead the Beavers to a fifth-place team finish. Jennings was the
second-best finisher for UMF, with an aggregate score of 167 (80-87),
while Andy Ferrell was third at 167 (81-86).
