Men's Golf Takes Sixth at NAC Championships

In windy and rainy conditions, Brandon Poulin shot an 85 to finish 10th overall and lead the UMF men's golf team to a sixth place finish at the 2005 NAC Golf Championship, hosted by UMF at the Belgrade Lakes Golf Club.  Castleton State edged out Husson on a tie-breaker to win the team championship at the one-day event, which was shortened due to rain.  Kyle Feltis (24th, 96), Nicholas Doyle (31st, 108) and Neil Plummer (32nd, 110) rounded out the UMF scorers.

Golf Finishes Sixth at USM Scramble

The UMF golf team took sixth place at the USM Scramble with a team score of 63.  Individual results were not tallied for this event.

Golf Competes in USM Invitational

The UMF golf team competed in the USM Fall Classic on Saturday and Sunday and placed 8th with a two day score of 722.  UMF was led by Brandon Poulin who's score of 169 was highlighted by a hole in one on the 13th hole par 3, 142yds with a 9 iron.  Other scorers for UMF were Kyle Feltis with a 170, Neil Plummer with a 187, Nick Doyle with a 203 and Jake Newcomb with a 208.  UMF returns to the course on Friday at the USM Scramble at Sable Oaks Country Club.

Golfers Fair Well at St. Joesph's Invitational

The UMF golf team had a good showing at the St. Joseph's College Invitational held at Point Sebego Country Club yesterday.  The Beavers were led by Brandon Poulin with a score of 80.  Kyle Feltis followed with an 83.  Neil Plummer (94), Zack Hart (97) and Nick Doyle (104) rounded out the scores for UMF.

Golf Places 5th at Sid Farr Invitational

The UMF golf team placed 5th at the Sid Farr Invitational hosted by Colby College yesterday.  UMF scores were Kyle Feltis (80), Brandon Poulin (86), Zack Hart (89), Neil Plummer (93) and Nick Doyle (94).  The Beavers return to action on Tuesday when they travel to St. Joseph's College.

Golf Hosts Invitational at Belgrade

The UMF golf team hosted the annual UMF Invitational at Belgrade Lakes Country Club on Sunday.  UMF placed 7th with a score of 369.  Ross McGee from Husson College was the Medalist with a solid 74.  Husson College won the team title with a 309.   UMF's Kyle Feltis led the Beavers with an 79.  Other scorers for UMF were Brandon Poulin (84), Matt Miglore (102) and Neil Plummer (104).  UMF returns to action on Saturday the 24th at Colby College.

Golf Competes In Maine Intercollegiate Championship

The UMF golf team placed 12th in yesterday's Maine Intercollegiate Golf Championship at Natanis Country Club.   UMF's leading scorer was Brandon Poulin with an 83.  Kyle Feltis followed with a 92.  Other scorers were Neil Plummer (95), Nick Doyle (117) and Jake Newcomb (134).  The Beavers return to action on Sunday when they host the UMF Invitational at Belgrade Lakes.

Golf Gets Warmed Up at Bowdoin Invitational

The UMF golf team began the season with a two day tournament at Bowdoin College on Saturday and Sunday.  The Beavers scored a 758 as a team and placed 14th overall.
