FARMINGTON -- Three University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer players were named to the All-North Atlantic Conference First Team as announced by the conference this afternoon.
Juniors goalkeeper McKell Barnes (Durham, ME), midfielder/forward Katie Cray (Richmond, ME) and back Laura St. John (Wayne, ME) were each recognized on the All-NAC First Team. NAC all-conference
Barnes --an All-NAC Second Team choice in 2008 -- appeared in 19 matches for the Beavers, starting 18. The junior went 6-9-1 with a 1.83 goals-against average with 118 saves in 1476:28 between the pipes. In NAC play, Barnes had a 1.25 GAA with four shutouts.

Cray shared the team high with four goals and also had an assist in 17 games for Farmington.
St. John anchored the Beaver defense that registered eight shutouts on the season. The junior captain also netted a pair of goals.
Castleton State College's Courtney Chadburn was honored as the NAC Player of the Year, while Maine Maritime's Callie Thompson was named the NAC Rookie of the Year.
Castleton's Chris Chapdelaine was recognized as the NAC Coach of the Year.
NAC all-conference selections are determined by a vote of conference coaches.
The Beavers finished their season at 8-10-1.
