CASTINE -- The University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer team fell to Maine Maritime Academy 2-1 in the North Atlantic Conference opener for both squads.

The Beavers (2-3 overall, 0-1 in the NAC) are scheduled to host Colby College Wednesday. The Mariners evened their record at 3-3 (1-0).

Katie Hutchinson gave the Mariners a 1-0 edge at 26:30, but Melissa St. Amand (Windsor, ME) brought the Beavers back to a 1-1 tie at 43:27. Diann Manatt-Rogers cashed in a penalty kick at 76:54 for the Mariners' 2-1 win.

McKell Barnes (Durham, ME) collected five saves for Farmington.

Lacey Jackson stopped seven shots for MMA.
