Norton named NAC Player of the Week

FARMINGTON -- Chelsea Norton (Westbrook, ME) was selected as the North Atlantic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday. Norton scored four goals and assisted on a score as the Beavers went 3-0 last week.

The freshman forward tallied a pair of goals in the Beavers' 3-0 win over visiting UMaine-Presque Isle on Wednesday and followed with another two scores in UMF's 3-0 victory over Bay Path on Saturday in Farmington. Norton assisted on a goal in Sunday's 6-1 rout of Wheelock.

UMF is 6-3 and 3-0 in the North Atlantic Conference. It is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Maine Maritime Academy.
