Women's cross country duo honored

FARMINGTON -- The North Atlantic Conference announced its weekly honors on Monday with several University of Maine at Farmington student-athletes collecting awards.

Farley repeated as the NAC individual champ and led the Beavers to a conference title on Saturday at Mt. Blue High School. Farley completed the 5K course in 21:03.15, which improved upon her time at the UMF Invitational earlier in the season by 12 seconds.

Sophomore Amanda Gunter (Farmington, ME) was named the NAC Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week. Gunter assisted in the Beavers' NAC championship win with a second-place finish. Gunter was the runner-up with a time of 21:13.83.

The Beavers are off until Nov. 10 for NCAA Regionals at Connecticut College.
