On the field: At Maranacook, Neptune was awarded 'Most Outstanding Athlete' for track and field in 2005, and was selected for the KVAC All-Conference team for sprinting in 2007. She was also chosen for the KVAC Second-Team for soccer in 2006 and 2007, scoring a total of 45 goals in her high school career.
Off the field: At Maranacook, Neptune was an honors student and volunteered as a basketball coach and referee for elementary and middle school girls for the past three years. ... She was the editor and cover artist of Maranacook's literary magazine 'Tingley Brook' in 2008. ... Hobbies include writing, playing piano, singing, and drawing. ... Majoring in creative writing.
Why UMF? The creative writing program is highly acclaimed, so that automatically sent UMF at the top of my list of schools. I really like the class sizes, and how professors are approachable if I need help with what I'm learning about. The food is fantastic as well.
