Laflin receives weekly honors
FARMINGTON -- University of Maine at Farmington junior forward Caitlyn Laflin (Farmingdale, ME) was recognized as the North Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season as announced by the conference today.
Laflin was named to the Williams Winter Classic All-Tournament Team after posting a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds plus two blocks and five steals in a loss to Williams and a game-high 24 points with four blocks and two steals in a loss to Norwich.
Laflin was also the weekly award recipient on Dec. 15. Honored as the NAC Player of the Year last season, this is the sixth time in her career that Laflin has been recognized by the conference for her weekly efforts.
The Beavers (3-6) are scheduled to host Bowdoin College on Tuesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
