FARMINGTON -- The fourth-ranked University of Maine at Farmington women's volleyball team is scheduled to visit Maine Maritime Academy Saturday for the North Atlantic Conference Championship Round.
The Beavers (10-10) are slated to face No. 1 Maine Maritime (20-5) for a semifinal match at 10 a.m. The other semifinal features No. 2 Husson University (13-14) and No. 3 Castleton State College (14-7) at noon. The semifinal winners will meet at 2 p.m. for the NAC title.

Farmington, which reached the semifinals with a 3-2 first-round win over Green Mountain College, has faced Maine Maritime twice this season with a pair of 3-0 losses.
On Sept. 12 at the Colby Invitational, the Mariners downed the Beavers, 25-20, 25-16, 25-14.
Shannon Mitchell (Portsmouth, NH) led Farmington with seven kills, while Whitney Walls (Bar Harbor, ME) collected seven digs. Chelsea Ward (Homer, AK) scored 13 kills for MMA with Amy Young (Cumberland, ME) adding 10.

On Oct. 17 in NAC action, the Mariners topped the Beavers, 25-10, 25-18, 25-16).
Emily Beebe (South Paris, ME) recorded seven kills for Farmington with Mitchell registering nine digs. Ward had 13 kills and 10 digs for the Mariners.
On the season, Jenna Rowan (Kittery, ME) leads the Beavers in kills (147) and is second in digs (166), while Mitchell is second in kills (137) and tops in hitting percentage (.202) and blocks (47). Defensively, Caitlin Flaherty (Plymouth, MA) has a team-high 172 digs.
Ward -- the NAC Player of the Year -- has notched team-highs of 335 kills and .335 hitting percentage for the Mariners. Dixon has dished out 633 assists, while Lauren Sakahara (Bellevue, WA) has collected 329 digs.
Each team bring nationally-ranked service to the match as the Mariners (3.67) are third in NCAA Division III in service aces per set, led by Jennifer Dixon (Woodstock, MD) at .84 and the Beavers (3.62) are fifth, led by Walls at .79, Katie Allen (Bucksport, ME) at .76 and Flaherty at .75.
