Thurlow, Betts earn NAC accolades
FARMINGTON -- The University of Maine at Farmington men's cross country duo of senior Ty Thurlow (Lee, ME) and Cam Betts (Gray, ME) were honored by the North Atlantic Conference today.
Thurlow was recognized as the NAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week. Thurlow paced the Beavers with a second place finish at St. Joseph's College's Runnin' Monk Invitational. Thurlow toured the 8K course in 29:05.
Betts was named the NAC Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week as the freshman helped the Beavers with a third-place finish at St. Joseph's College's Runnin' Monks Invitational. Betts toured the 8K course in 29:40.
This is the second time this season that Betts has been named the NAC Rookie of the Week. He has also been a recipient of NAC Runner of the Week honors.
Farmington is scheduled to return to action on Saturday at the State of Maine Championships at Twin Brook Recreational Area in Cumberland.
