Men's cross country duo honored

FARMINGTON -- The North Atlantic Conference announced its weekly honors on Monday with several University of Maine at Farmington student-athletes collecting awards.

Freshman Tim Millett (Gorham, ME) was honored as the NAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week. Millett led the Beavers to a NAC title on Saturday at the conference championships at Mt. Blue High School. Millett finished with a time of 28:21.26, which, despite the weather, was 25 seconds better than his time at the UMF Invitational earlier in the season.

Freshman Kel Cenga (Brewster, MA) was named the NAC Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week. Cenga helped the Beavers to the title with a second-place finish. Cenga toured the 8,000-meter course in 28:35.46.

The Beavers are off until Nov. 10 for NCAA Regionals at Connecticut College.
