St. John receives MMBCWA Player of the Week award

FARMINGTON  -- University of Maine at Farmington senior guard Matt St. John (Wayne, ME) was recognized as the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association Player of the Week as announced today.

St. John led the Beavers to a 2-1 week averaging 21 points per contest, including a pair of NAC victories. St. John powered Farmington with 29 points -- including his 1,000th career point -- with nine 3-pointers in a win over Lesley. The following night he dumped in 25 points with seven 3-pointers in a victory against Wheelock.

Farmington (10-11) is scheduled to host Bates College in non-conference action tonight at 7 p.m. at Dearborn Gymnasium.
