St. John shares weekly honors

FARMINGTON  -- University of Maine at Farmington senior guard Matt St. John (Wayne, ME) was named the North Atlantic Conference Co-Men’s Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the conference today.

St. John led the Beavers to a 2-1 week averaging 21 points per contest, including a pair of NAC victories. St. John powered Farmington with 29 points -- including his 1,000th career point -- with nine 3-pointers in a win over Lesley. The following night he dumped in 25 points with seven 3-pointers in a victory against Wheelock.

This is the first time this season St. John has been honored by the conference this season. He shared this week’s honor with Husson College sophomore guard Brock Bradford.

Farmington (10-11) is scheduled to host Bates College in non-conference action Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Dearborn Gymnasium.
