NAC announces men's basketball postseason seedings

FARMINGTON -- The North Atlantic Conference announced the seedings for the men's basketball tournament this evening.

The Beavers (11-14, 7-6) finished as the fourth seed in the NAC East and is slated to travel to Elms College (19-6, 11-2) for a quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Elms is the No. 1 seed from the NAC West.

During the regular season, the Blazers defeated Farmington 60-57 on Jan. 25 in Dearborn Gymnasium.

Quarterfinal games will be played at the higher seed on Tuesday. Quarterfinal winners will advance to the semifinals held at the higher seed for semifinal contests on Friday at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Teams are re-seeded entering the semifinal round based on similar seeding criteria. Semifinal winners will meet Saturday 2 p.m. for the NAC title. Game times are subject to change. The NAC Champion receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Championship.
