Fry, Dean earn NAC accolades

FARMINGTON -- Senior forward Sean Fry (Jay, ME) was named the North Atlantic Conference Co-Men's Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the conference today and freshman guard Andrew Dean (Gorham, ME) received NAC Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week honors.

Fry scored a career-high 35 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the Beavers' 83-73 win over conference foe Husson College, while Dean pitched in with 11 points, six rebounds and three assists.

Fry also scored 12 points in a 58-48 loss to the University of Southern Maine with Dean adding five points and three rebounds.

This is the second time Fry has been honored by the conference this season. Fry shared the award with Castleton State College's Josh Howe.

Farmington (5-4) is off for the holiday break. The Beavers are scheduled to return to action on Jan. 4 when they visit  Bowdoin College for a 7 p.m. contest.
