Men's basketball rolled over at Bowdoin
BRUNSWICK -- The Bowdoin College men's basketball team built a 29-point halftime lead and cruised to an 84-46 win over the University of Maine at Farmington tonight at Morrell Gymnasium.
The Polar Bears improved to 8-2, while the Beavers dropped to 5-5.
Bowdoin shot 69 percent from the field for the contest. The Polar Bears shot a white-hot 71 percent from the field in the opening stanza, cruising to a 50-21 halftime advantage. Mike Hauser equaled his career-high by dishing out nine assists to go with a game-high 15 points and three steals.
The Beavers were led by 11
points from Sean Fry (Jay, ME).
Bowdoin had five players reach double-digits, led by Hauser, Andrew
Sargeantson (12), Tim Lane (12), Kyle Jackson (12, four blocks) and
Jordan Fliegel (10).
Farmington will return to action next Thursday when they host
Plymouth State. Bowdoin will return to action on Sunday at home
against Plymouth.
