Alumni Basketball Games Bring Fun and Excitement
The UMF men's and women's basketball team hosted a wealth of former
basketball players on Saturday night for the annual alumni games.

offer in the last 5-15 years. While the alumni showed they still had
what it takes, the current Beavers proved that they would be impressive in
the season to come. In the teams' first opportunity to face
"outside" competition, UMF veterans and newcomers blended nicely chalking
up victories over both alumni teams. Each team will have another
preseason exhibition game before opening the season on the weekend of
November 22nd. On the men's side the Beavers will host the annual
Hight Tournament with Bowdoin College, UMaine Presque Isle and Thomas
College in attendance on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. The
women will host the first annual Webber Energy Invitational Tournament on
Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. The University of Southern
Maine, UMaine Presque Isle and the Coast Guard Academy will round out the
women's tournament.
