Beavers place five on All-NAC teams
FARMINGTON -- The University of Maine at Farmington field hockey team placed five players on the North Atlantic Conference First and Second Teams as voted on by the conference coaches.
Senior midfielder Amanda Fortin (Jefferson, ME), senior back Nicole Lyons (Cape Elizabeth, ME), junior back Erika Lucas (Augusta, ME) and junior goalkeeper Kaeleigh Barker (Chichester, NH) received All-NAC First Team honors. Fortin scored six goals and assisted on a pair in eight conference games. Lyons and Lucas led a defense that allowed only two goals in NAC play with Barker recording a 0.25 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage. Lucas and Barker were All-NAC First Team choices last year.
Senior forward Kristin Chambers (Gorham, ME) was voted for the All-NAC Second Team. Chambers tallied five goals and assisted on two in conference play. She was a NAC Honorable Mention selection last year.
The Beavers (12-5) are scheduled to host Husson (12-6) in the NAC title game on Sunday at 11 a.m.
