Pendleton earns NAC pitching honor
FARMINGTON -- University of Maine at Farmington senior pitcher Craig Pendleton (Saco, ME) was honored as the North Atlantic Conference Pitcher of the Week as announced by the conference today.
Pendleton led the Beavers to their first win of the season with a 4-3 victory over St. Joseph's. The senior scattered seven hits, while not walking a batter and striking out nine over a seven-inning complete game. Pendleton, who also threw an inning of relief vs. Colby, finished the week with a 2.25 earned-run average.
This is the first time that Pendleton has been recognized by the conference.
Farmington (1-5) is scheduled to open NAC play on Wednesday with a doubleheader against Thomas College at Hippach Field. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
